In these three 30-minute sessions, we’ll cover the basics of document accessibility, specific practices for IBM content repositories, and how you can leverage AI to create accessible documents. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to meet legal requirements and make your content accessible to everyone.

What is Document Accessibility (and why should you care)
Accommodating the needs of over 30 million people in the US with vision impairments or cognitive disabilities is not just a compliance requirement, but a crucial step to enhance customer experience, expand market reach, and improve your brand reputation. This first session will introduce you to document accessibility, including regulations and legal requirements, the various types of accessible formats, and the consequences of non-compliance.

Document Accessibility in Your IBM Content Repository (Compliance vs. Usability)
Discover the importance of creating genuinely usable documents for individuals with disabilities. This session will explore best practices for achieving accessibility within your IBM content repository. Learn how to create tagged documents for assistive technologies, and ensure your documents are both compliant and user-friendly.

Session 3: Thursday, November 16 @ 2pm-2:30pm ET

AI-Powered Document Accessibility
This session will highlight a demo of an AI-powered document accessibility solution for your IBM content repository. Learn how to leverage AI for creating accessible PDFs, automate your accessibility workflow, and achieve on-demand accessibility.
