Connect to System-of-Record Data from Across the Enterprise

KwikNAV Data connects system-of-record data from across the enterprise to improve the end-user experience by empowering users to add documents to the FileNet repository and allows for the searching of documents with simple pull-down menu options.

KwikNAV Data accelerates IBM Content Navigator (ICN) integration with external data sources by providing the service component needed to utilize the External Data Service (EDS) capabilities within ICN.

KwikNAV Data is a service implementation needed to utilize the EDS capabilities within ICN.

You are also able to automates actions based on defined criteria, for example:

  • Lookup and set one or more field values based on the value of another field at runtime
  • Dynamically set child field value and/or choice list based on current value of parent field
  • Use document class and/or field values to set fields to read only and/or hidden

KwikNAV Data Features

  • Highly Flexible
  • UI Configuration
  • Dynamic Choice List
  • Parent-Child Field Relationship
  • Multiple Parent-Child Field Relationship
  • Dynamic Data Lookup
  • Dynamic Field Metadata Manipulation

KwikNAV Data System Requirements

  • IBM FileNet P8 v4.x and greater
  • ICN v2.0.3 and greater

Webinar: How to connect to external data sources in IBM Content Navigator

Enhance the IBM Content Navigator (ICN) end-user experience. Learn how searching for and adding new content into IBM FileNet can be greatly improved when leveraging external data sources using a FileNet accelerator.

In this webinar, we’ll highlight how you can add additional functionality within ICN:

  • Dynamic Choice List – Lookup a list of data from a source outside of IBM FileNet
  • Parent-Child Field Relationship – Dynamically set child field value and/or choice list based on current value of parent field
  • Multiple Parent-Child Relationship – Use more than one parent for child filtering
  • Dynamic Data Lookup – Lookup and set one or more field values from an external source based on the value of another field at runtime
  • Dynamic Field Metadata Manipulation – Use document class and/or field values to dynamically set fields to read-only or hidden
